Welcome to the 2013 ENCOD3D Letterboxing Puzzle Hunt!

First off, thank you all for participating! Many people have put a ton of work into making this event challenging, entertaining, and (most importantly) very eeeeevil. Throughout the duration of the puzzle hunt, you will encounter a wide variety of puzzles. Some may be familiar to almost everyone. Some may be best solved if you're already familiar with a specific type of puzzles. Others may not even seem like puzzles at all or utilize concepts that have never before been used. There is a reason you are all on teams. Make use of your team's strengths, and when you get stuck, make sure to also acknowledge its weaknesses. Some of the twists and layers in these puzzles are indeed meant to stump you, but none are intended to infinitely frustrate you. Rather, the more challenging tricks often make the "aha" moment all the more worthwhile.

Here is the Atlas Quest event page for your continued reference.

Before proceeding with the puzzles, here are the "official rules" for the event.

1)To win the event, it is not necessary to solve every puzzle. It is also not necessary to find every box.

2) The first team to stamp into the final box (which will be clearly marked as such) wins the event.

3) Each member of the winning team will receive a trophy of sorts and a special prize. These physical awards will be awarded in person, at a gathering or similar meet up with Magical Music Man sometime in the months following the puzzle hunt.

4) Each member of the winning team need not stamp into the final box. However, it may be helpful to have more than one team member in order to successfully reach and/or retrieve the final box.

5) If you are the first finder on certain boxes, you may find a "Fast Pass" as a first finder prize. This allows you to recieve the answer to any single puzzle within that particular stage (or just to prevent other teams from having that advantage!)

6) The puzzles are completely independent from the letterboxes. In other words, this puzzle hunt is fully functional without involving any letterboxes.

7) I will not provide puzzle hints either during or after the event. However, if there is an ambiguity or error in a puzzle or elsewhere on the website, please let me know. Who knows, you may even be rewarded for having such a keen eye!

8) Any team that tampers with the boxes, hacks this website, or engages in other behavior that would be considered "cheating" will be summarily disqualified (but I surely don't expect anything of the sort to happen!)

9) Cross-team collaboration is allowed, but do remember that only one team will win.

Please note: Differentiation between Greek and Roman mythology is only sometimes maintained. Don't get confused by the mixing of the two mythological canons.
